"Most of my major disappointments have turned out to be blessings in disguise. So whenever anything bad does happen to me, I kind of sit back and feel, well, if I give this enough time, it'll turn out that it was good, so I shant worry about it too much."
- William M. Gaines (Publisher of Mad Magazine)
CONNECTION
Okay.... Here's the thing about connection. Everything needs a beginning and an ending. Combined with a full time occupation of attempting to find the right puzzle pieces on your way. You know finding all the missing piece to CONNECT with. By pieces I mean the right career FIT, perfect FIT for a spouse, nurturing our childern to FIT in, and connecting with friends and family along the way.
I have moved over 17 times and have become a master at being open to connect. As a child I have too many memories of playing out the scene from "The Color Purple". You know, there I am, in the the backseat waving and tears rolling down sing and patty-cake hand motions of "... You and Me Us NEVA-PART..." Of course that is a bit of an exaggeration (smile) but you get the picture. I shared that scenario to say that I have always been able to CONNECT with people since a child. I had to relive being the NEW KID more than my fair share. But it's not easy for everyone to connect with people. So some folks tend to stay in the same circle of friends or only deal with neighbors and family for security. Which is cool if you never plan on leaving that 50 mile radius. I'm just saying. That is so not me. My free spirit can't comprehend that confinement. So I fly free. Connection is not something that "BOOM" just happens, it's a feeling. (kinda like Sexy... either you are or you are NOT no "Bringing it back" sorry JT) It's more like a super power emotion and you have to be willing to let your guard down to survive to save the world.
The most important thing is having the ability and desire to CONNECT with others. But you have to be open to sharing yourself to do so. You have to be willing to let someone know who you are inside your heart, mind and soul. I left Body out on purpose. We tend to give that away selfishly reguardless of FIT or Connection {wink}. Being attractive, funny or having a great personality can make you popular, this is true. But life is so short to live it just to say you KNOW a lot of people. True CONNECTION lies with those paths you have crosss that can say they KNOW (the real) YOU.
Open your heart and connect with the important people in your life. They are there for a reason.
Life is All for you.
As Janet says....
"if you really want it... if you say you need it.... if you gotta have it! Go ahead and get you some!"
Your life is waiting for you to live it. don't be afraid to open your Heart, Spirit and Soul and Love ..
It's All For You!

GROUNDED
ARE YOU?
OR are you? Used to be a time when being grounded meant being in trouble and forced to relinquish your privileges. Actually today I am grounding myself permanently. Time out...
is not enough anymore.
I was ok with telling myself that I will take some "Time Out" and get this or that done. Or I would fly around the house and plan to take "TIME OUT" to clean or organize. Even in the work place you know exactly what you have to do to be successful and it only works if you sit down and get "Grounded" But we tend to get grounded at work because you have to make money and needless to say you don't want to get fired. I think at times you may need to light a fire within your self. You have to get grounded from with in because getting fired from LIFE is not an option.
Side Note: That means being IN the GROUND ...a entirely different ceremony completely. Everyone wears black and there's a lot of crying. SO lets NOT go there.
All it takes is a little dedication and a lot of patience. Being grounded for adults means being forced to relinquish wants for needs. You really have to have desire and drive to ensure that your life is making you happy. No one else can do this for you. So at some point today for lack of better words and to hopefully make an impact ...
"GET SOME WHERE AND SIT YOUR ASS DOWN!"
Time to get grounded from with in and start planning for happiness and STOP flying around missing all the little things you
never made "TIME OUT" for. From friends family house and with in. Live your life being Grounded from with in. See how much you will grow.

YUM DUMB!
Tastiest treats are the ones that stare back at you. Love!
Real straight talk
Do you ever rack your brain trying to figure why NO ONE understands you? Do you walk away or hang up the phone feeling that you were perfectly clear in your communication. You are feeling all proud and sure of yourself then BOOM... 3 minutes later that the person you were just having a conversation calls you right back and guess what? They had not a clue of what you meant and then you have to re(re)Explain. This used to happen to me all of the time. I used always ask "Really? I KNOW you didn't get THAT from what I just said?" complete disconnect. "I'd scrunch my fore-head and roll my eyes, thinking... "Clearly I must be speaking a foreign language to you.."
Miscommunication like that would often ruin my day.
Truth is when dealing with people who say they "keep it real" often just means that they don't have a sensor. Where the kind hearted folks often tend to be sugar coaters. You know... filtering the blow with extra sweet words and thoughtfulness. Now which ever way you are is fine. I just think that in terms of being better at communicating with ALL types of personalities it's best to understand the type of person you are dealing with.
.
REAL FOLKS
Just because you "keep it REAL" you do NOT get free pass to be an ASS
(& that's real)
if you can dish it out... then suck it up when someone gives it back.
(real folks are extra sensative)
real sweet folks
Just because you have others Best intrest at heart..Does NOT mean they give a DAMN about yours.
(mix your sweet with a shot of sour)
You will be disappointed every time if you still beleive in "treat people the way you want
to be treated"
(real sweet folks live in LA-LA Land)
~
I would tell you what side I fall under but I'm sure you can guess that. Communication is the key to everyday life. Learning to be a better communicator does not mean that you are NOT "keeping it REAL" and have any potential of loosing any Cool Points (throwback). And to my fellow Real Sweet Folks it's ok to act a fool every now and then. Plus it will shock
the shit out of everyone!

"We're happy if you feel better, but we're really happy if you feel better and you don't get in trouble and you perform better and you are retained longer," said Brigadier General Rhonda Cornum, Ph.D.M.D. Director, Comprehensive Soldier Fitness at the US Army G-3/5/7.

I woke up and told myself that today I will SHINE. Have you ever put any thought into how bright you SHINE? It totally depends on the day for me sometimes. We all have those mornings when the covers are unbelievably cozy and it is infuriating to have to pull them off. (if you just had a twinge thinking about it your KNOW exactly what I mean) It kinda reminds me of when people used to say "did you wake up on the WRONG side of the bed?" (never really understood that lol) But anyhoo...today I have decided to SHINE. Now just so you know on the inside my emotions are at a medium-low simmer and PMS is setting so I could choose to lay on the couch and cry over the winner on HGTV's Design Star. BUT!! Not today!! There is too much work to be done.
I love this song by Estelle. "I'ma shine! I'ma shine! I'ma shine while my lights on!" So please press play and turn it up. Every day we have woe's and stress but you have to choose to get up on the RIGHT side of the bed and face the world. Regardless of what's going on in your life today you have to shine! So put your mind to it and over come every obstacle that comes your way and plan for success, that's the only way to shine!

First, there was the 17-year-old British girl who ate only chicken nuggets. And now, a 33-year-old British woman says she’s spent a lifetime eating only pizza.
Claire Simmons, 33, of Notting Hill London told The Sun that she has eaten only cheese pizza at every meal for 31 years. Simmons told the newspaper that she exercises and drinks water, but doctors warn her that her pizza addiction could kill her because of a lack of health vitamins and minerals.
Chronic food addiction, medically known as selective eating disorder, is nothing new for the British tabloids or for Americans. BBC airs a reality series about picky eating habits called Freaky Eaters, and TLC network has begun showing an American version of the show.

Passport Photo
My passport is through.
I look like im from poland on the photo. I didnt even know you could look polish until my passport came through. I have a shaved head and look like a criminal.
That isnt racist by the way. Im not saying all polish people look like criminals, not at all. You can look like two things at the same time you know. Its the same as when you can look, say, chinese, and at the same time look like a businessman.
So I look polish, AND look like a criminal. The good news is, I should get a free council house, free health care and all my bills paid for me. (that might be racist, Im not entirely sure. I wrote that joke for the Daily Mail, but even they found it "risque". Im going to send it back to them with the word "muslim" replacing polish. They'll soon send a check out.)
Speaking of checks, I'll soon be living among them in the Czech Republic (genius...)
Im going through a long application process with a top English School at the moment. Tomorrow Ive got to record myself giving an English lesson about all the different animals there are, to some imaginary 10 year olds, while sat in my front room.
As you do.

Nr 2 Nadal is blown out of Wimbledon by "upstart" nr 100 Rosol. John Lloyd , BBC Sport, remarked, "You kept thinking that at some stage Rosol would realise who he was playing and maybe lose his nerve. But that never happened."
With Nadal out of the races the fight stood between Murray and Federer in the final. Like so many times before the Brit crashed and burned!
On the womens side former nr. 1 Caroline Wozniacki lived up to her current form by hitting rock bottom and going of the pubs in the 3rd round. From her barstool she could watch Serena Williams demolish everything as she went on to win yet again.
the summer's best sports moments

EuroPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP 2012
Ukraine & Poland
le Tour de France
the Champions League
Chelsea kicked of summer winning this years champions league. They went into the semi-finals and the final as massive underdogs playing a 8-1-1 line-up with Drogba covering Messi on fullback. The old english guard took everyone by surprise and to home the gold.
Formula 1
Summer has taken us all - It holds on to us with it's forceful grip of sun, freedom, drinks and dreams. Today London opens it's gargantuan gates to world and welcomes all of us to participate in the greatest sports event on the planet. Since Aristotle and the days when Greece were the superpower, the Olympic Games have summoned all of us who belive in sports, and relit dreams of standing on the upper echelons and be hailed by the world. And if you within the next few weeks feel this desire - I suggest you take up Curling! Its never to late to Curl!!
But today we'll take a look at this summers most exciting moments in sports and reminisce the highlights.

F*** it.. If I can't win Ill just take out this guy

Lewandowski and Poland opened the Euros with a stunner against Greece. The game went on with 2 red cards, a missed penalty and a late equalizer.
Even though Ballotelli tried his best to get rid of competition and beat his opponent in all possible ways, Spain prevailed and took home their 3rd consecutive international trophy. First time ever in history.
In the final they completely pummeled Italy 4-0 leaving no doubt.

WIMBLEDON

Fernando Alonso won the European and the German Grand Prix during the summer and put Ferrari back on the map. Red Bull Racing had to settle for the English Grand Prix.

The Beast from the East Peter Sagan rode all the way into the limelight and this years Tour de France will be remembered for his incredible exploits and Chris Froome waiting for Wiggins on several occasions. Who was the rightful winner if not for bureaucracy.
So far it's been awesome and the next weeks will hopefully give us more to cheer for!
Fear no more...
So for what ever reason, people are afraid of being afraid. Now when you get to the nitty gritty of it all FEAR is trapping you from the happiness that you deserve. At some point you have to realize that you are pretty much just afraid of your self and the potential with in yourself. "How is that possible?" and "What the Hell is she talking about?" may be just a few questions running through your head (or mumbled to the screen) It is possible to let fear consume you and keep you from achieving your ultimate goals in life.
So this week's challenge is to do something every day that is outside of your comfort zone. "Like what?" you may ask. Well let see... write down a list of 5 things that you wish you had the courage to do. For example... Fear often keeps me from striking up a conversation with random people. This week I am going to be more out going. Or maybe if you are afraid of being alone perhaps you go to dinner by yourself. Even take this challenge to your workplace. If you need to have more courage and make your opinion know then NOW is the time.
Stop waisting time repeating yesterday and make a change for tomorrow.
Please enjoy this song by Mary J Blige. The movie "THE HELP" was about fighting the fear inside and standing up for who you are. Fear during those times had a very different meaning. But in today's world we have to keep pushing and never settle for less that what you deserve in life. You only get one life so live it. Be free of fear and be the living proof that changing your thought process and letting go of the CANT'S and strive for what you can DO!
